Well, it's unlikely I will be going to Japan at the end of the year due to laziness and a rather persistent need to upgrade my computer and recent desire to get a Xbox 360. I'm not all that disappointed in the decision since I'm confident I can make the trip either in Dec 08 or early 09 and there's also the possibility that I might be going to AX 09 as well.

Lately my system is feeling its age. Almost any software, such as graphics intensive games is left with my video card struggling to keep up and sometimes it's left for nothing when it starts churning out really laggy frame rates and operating inefficiently or not at all. I also have a need to get additional hard drive space since I've almost used my 120 gigs worth of videos and music and I don't really want to start storing them on cds which I'll end up forgetting about anyway. I also need to get myself a decent sound system as I'm only using a default card when I bought this computer. Overall though I need to get a package that will last me another 4-5 years.

My writing has been going rather well the last couple of months as I've managed to churn out around 15k. I'm very happy with the progress and I hope to keep going along the same stretch of production for the coming holiday season. At least now I have a clear ending in sight and a potential direction to follow.
